This was a good read. It flowed; it was funny - couldn't
put it down. Catanzano is an excellent word master. Put
me down for Frank's next book.

Excellent
Read. Flows through the blue collar clubs and music
history of Pittsburgh, while walking through the personal
experiences of being a drummer for the mob. It's "The
Godfather" meets Motley Crue. Loved it!

This
book is the awesome rockin' tits! It slaps you around
a little, then drags you out back and shoots you in
the base of the skull with a hollow point, before burying
you in a shallow desert grave. All good things.

Drummer
for the Mob is a solid piece of work. The characters
are strong and I like the plot. It has all of the necessary
elements: good characterization; interesting (and well-described)
settings; and authentic-sounding dialogue. This material
is well written and the storyline is well-paced. I am
impressed.

Frankie
Severino tells his tale of smoky night clubs, wild women,
drugs, and rock-and-roll--a tale that is populated with
the most motley line-up of Mafioso bosses, wise guys
and crooks since The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight
--with a wry wit and a sense of humor that is worthy
of Jimmy Breslin. Drummer for the Mob is a hoot. It's
The Sopranos with a driving disco beat--that will make
you nostalgic for the days when local mobs ruled the
night.
